DT2 DigitalTrak2

DT2 Intelligent Electro pneumatic Positioner is a loop powered instrument. As a control part of the pneumatic valve set, DT2 Intelligent Electro pneumatic valve Positioner is widely used in petroleum, chemical, electric
power, metallurgy, paper, light industry and other fields of automation systems.
The product accepts the 4÷20mA valve setting signal from the control system; at the same time, it gets the actual valve signal through the location sensors; the two signals are compared by instrument
software in order to control the feeding and exhaust of the gas to actuator, driving the valve to reach set point.

DT2 Intelligent Electro pneumatic valve Positioner is based on microprocessor technology. It can overcome friction and
the imbalance power on the control valve well, and improve the response speed of control valve, which makes the
position set rapidly and accurately. It is not only able to completely substitute conventional valve positioner, but also is
able to directly access HART network, exchanging information between control system and positioner.

QT QuickTrak

QT QuickTrak System features the latest in pneumatic digital valve control technology, that combines a microprocessor-based control system with an integrated valve positioner. This system is specifically designed to answer the challenges faced by todays demanding applications.

Flexible and powerful, capable of providing the control and performance of a hydraulic system, but without the environmental and storage requirements.

  • Probe: Magnetostrictive linear position transducers located within the actuator stem which provide fast and highly accurate control feedback.
  • 3-Way valves: Fail mode is done through two 3-way valves (SIL certified) piloted by the solenoid valve, which isolate the servo-valve from the actuator. Another 3-way valve removes any bleed when fail mode occurs.
  • Solenoid valves: 24 VDC continuously energized, normally closed, to initiate  fail mode upon loss of air supply or  signal power.
  • Servo-valve: High-capacity servo-valve for positioning.
  • Actuator: Custom designed with larger ports to utilize the higher CV and a gun-drilled stem to accomodate the feedback probe.
  • Digital controller: Provides a multi-level, closed loop system based on the valve and spool position to control the stepper motor to adjust the actuators chamber pressure to achieve the desired valve position.

SA/CL

SA/CL is an analog positioner available in a pneumatic and electro-pneumatic version. The positioner has a heavy duty design making it suitable for use in very harsh conditions. It is used as the control part of the pneumatic valve set in oil and gas, refining, chemical, power, metal production and other fields with automated systems. The UP-2 pneumatic version accepts a 3-15 psi (0.2-1 bar) signal and the electro-pneumatic version a 4-20 mA signal.

When using the electro-pneumatic version an I/P converter is installed on the pneumatic positioner which allows an electric signal to pilot the positioner. It is based on the balanced-forces principle; air distribution to actuator chambers is executed by an internal spool. The SA/CL is designed to be used for applications on linear actuators with a stroke length of over 70mm. This positioner is double acting but can also be used as single acting if required.

UP-2

UP-2 is an analog positioner available in pneumatic and electro-pneumatic versions. The positioner has a heavy duty design making it suitable for use in very harsh conditions. It is used as the control part of the pneumatic valve set in oil and gas, refining, chemical, power, metal production and other fields with automated systems. The UP-2 pneumatic version accepts a 3-15 psi (0.2-1 bar) signal and the electro-pneumatic version a 4-20 mA signal. The positioner is based on the balanced-forces principle with air distribution to the actuator chambers carried out by an internal spool. UP-2 is designed to be used on linear actuators (with a minimum stroke of 8 mm) or on rotary actuators which use different feedback systems such as the lever or motion converter MC model.

The positioner is a double acting positioner but it can also be used as single acting. It is equipped with a different linear cam (angle up to 270°) to allow use on actuators with different strokes. The cam operating angles and range adjustments are printed on the positioner. Special cam profiles are available on request.

The UP-2 NC 1/4” is available with a bypass valve between the actuator chamber connections. This is built into the change-over system so the actuator action can be changed without having to rebuild the piping. The positioner is available in different models:

  • UP2/L for lever applications;
  • UP-2/R for rotary applications.

There are different sizes (ND 1/4” or ND 1/2”) and the positioner can come with or without an integrated air-lock device (the AL model), with a lever or bare shaft, standard or Namur.

SA-1

SA-1 is an analogue positioner available in a pneumatic and electro-pneumatic version. The positioner has a heavy duty design making it suitable for use in very harsh conditions. It is used as the control part of the pneumatic valve set in oil and gas, refining, chemical, power, metal production and other fields with automated systems. SA-1 positioner is very compact and can be fully installed on the servo-control system, especially for pump use. This positioner is a double acting positioner but it can be used as a single acting one.

CRP-3/M

CRP-3/M is an analog positioner available in pneumatic and electro-pneumatic versions. The positioner has a heavy duty design making it suitable for use in very harsh conditions. It is used as the control part of the pneumatic valve set in oil and gas, refining, chemical, power, metal production and other fields with automated systems. SR/CCK

SR/CCK is specifically designed for the proportional quarter-turn operation for the actuation of butterfly, plug, ball valves, etc. It can be also used on linear actuators using a specific bracket. It is usually located in the control circuit between the air filter regulator and the actuator of the final control element.

This positioner has a heavy duty design to make it suitable for use as part of the pneumatic valve set in the potentially harsh conditions found in petroleum, chemical, power, metal production and other hazardous fields.

This is a double acting positioner which can also be used as single acting. The SR/CCK positioner is equipped with a different linear cam (angle up to 270°) to allow use on actuators with different strokes. Cam operating angles and range adjustments are printed on the positioner. Special cam profiles are available on request. ST SmarTrak

ST SmarTrak Controller is used as a positioning system for proportionally-driven hydraulic actuators with up to two independent channels. Fast stroke and superior resolution allow the unit to be used with severe service hydraulic actuators which demand fast stroking and precise positioning.

FT FasTrak

FT FasTrak is a high-capacity, high-precision digital-pneumatic valve controller that replaces a conventional positioner. It has an excellent dynamic performance and high flow (CV=2). Configuration and calibration is carried out with a HART device or by self calibration.

This product is compatible with double and single acting actuators, with or without a spring, piston or diaphragm actuators.

DT DigitalTrak

SC/VLT Lift & Turn Actuator

SC/BQ Metering Pump Actuator

SC/BQ pneumatic actuators, SC/BQo and SC/Vo oleopneumatic actuators are used for metering pump applications. Thanks to their desing, they find ideal application in power plants, refineries, pipe steel works and on board of vessels. The range of products includes double acting units and are available in different sizes.

An oil tank permits to have the cylinder always full of oil, also when the piston is at the stem retracted position. Connections to the cylinder are set in order to avoid air forming into the cylinder.

Quarter turn actuators

RTQ Scotch Yoke Pneumatic Actuator

RTQ single/double acting pneumatic actuators, are suitable for the operation of quarter turn valves (ball valves, butterfly valves and plug valves) for on-off and modulating heavy-duty service.

The actuator is made up of a waterproof scotch yoke mechanism transforming the linear movement of the pneumatic cylinder (on closing or opening) into the rotary movement, which is necessary for valve operation. Scotch yoke mechanism centerbody cover is machined to provide the assembly pattern for any required accessories (for example positioner, signaling limit swiches, etc.) by mean of proper matching units. The above mentioned accessories are operated by the actuator drive sleeve.

Actuator centerbody bottom wall is machined with threaded holes to allow actuator mounting on top of valve top-work either directly or, when required, with the interposition of an adaptor flange or a mounting bracket. The travel stroke is adjustable between -4 deg/+4 deg at both ends by mean of the external mechanical stops arranged into the side-wall of the mechanism body and into the end flange of the pneumatic cylinder.

Actuators are equipped with an hydraulic cylinder, mounted on the opposite side of the gas operated cylinder, to move the valve in absence of the fluid power by means of an hand pump mounted on the control cabinet.

ARA Axial Rotary Actuator

ARA single acting actuators with spring, are suitable for the operation of valves for ON-OFF and modulating heavy-duty service. The ARA valve actuator is made by three main parts:

  • The external cylinder group, with a piston inside that divides the internal volume in two chambers. A
    stem connects the piston to the valve stem.
  • The internal cylinder group that permits to transform through cams the valve movement into rototranslatory.
  • The yoke, that fix the cylinder to the valve.

Different kind of pneumatic accessories can be mounted on the ARA valve actuator depending on the
performance required.

Control drive enclosed actuators

CML Control Drive Enclosed Actuator

CML pneumatic actuator system consists of an actuator and a manual override integrated into a steel housing which is also a portable structure. This rugged construction guarantees continuous operation in harsh environments, for example in power stations, steel industries, petrochemical plants, desert areas.

This actuator is able to control final elements like dampers, butterfly valves, speed variators, radial vanes, providing torque up to 100 daNm. Manual operation is by a clutchable lever, equipped with a mechanical system. This system allows the movement of the actuator through an external lever and locks it in the required position.

CMV Control Drive Enclosed Actuator

CMV pneumatic actuator system consists of an actuator and a manual override integrated into a steel housing which is also a portable structure. This rugged construction guarantees continuous operation in harsh environments, for example in power stations, steel industries, petrochemical plants, desert areas.

This actuator is able to control final elements like dampers or hydraulic converters with high power actuators. The housing provides a double function of protection and a bearing frame. The engaging of the manual control is made automatically or manually through a dedicated switch.

SM Stepper Motor Actuator

SM series has two actuators, hydraulic (SM/H) or pneumatic (SM/P), driving the stepper motor internal mechanism (clockwise and anticlockwise rotation), thus allowing the linear movement of the valve threaded stem in closing or opening direction.

This actuator is tipically mounted on choke valves.
